Amber Necklaces by R.B. Amber Jewelry (10-11")
The genuine Baltic amber beads that make up these amber teething necklaces from R.B. Amber Jewelry come from amber mines near the Baltic Sea in Lithuania and each necklace is handmade in the USA. Baltic Amber is not a stone, but a fossilized tree resin. Each bead is a beautiful and unique piece of history - a fossil from an ancient forest!
R.B. Amber & Sons is a family-owned, family-run business located in North Carolina specializing in Baltic amber jewelry. Their children's jewelry is lab-tested for safety in a USA CPSIA-approved lab and is safe for children age 0+.
Amber is thought all over the world to aid in pain relief. It contains 3-8% of succinic acid, the precursor to acetylsalicylic acid, one of the active ingredients in aspirin. Body warmth releases the acid into the skin when worn, to act as a natural pain reliever. Wear the Baltic amber closest to the painful area for the best relief.
Necklaces with a POP clasp will pop open and come off when pulled on. All other necklaces have a screw clasp that will stay screwed in place.

The small 10"-11" necklace generally fits a child until 12 months.
As the child grows, check the necklace to ensure it is still the correct size. The necklace should fit loose enough around the neck so you can insert two or three fingers, but you should not be able to get the necklace above the child's chin, preventing the necklace from being put in his/her mouth.
The amber beads MUST NOT BE PUT INTO THE MOUTH OR CHEWED.
Each bead on the necklaces are individually knotted so if the necklace does break, the beads stay intact. The screw clasps feature a built-in safety release to prevent choking. As with all jewelry, Baltic amber should only be worn and used under direct supervision of an adult. Necklaces should be removed during nap and sleep times (they can be double looped around the ankle if desired while the child is sleeping).
Baltic amber comes in a variety of colors and shapes. Colors range from golden tones and opaque cream colors, to olive green, deep cherry and several shades of browns. Colors do not matter when it comes to the effectiveness of amber, it's purely a personal preference. The rounded beads come in a large variety of sizes as well, from small beads to large beads. Because these necklaces are handmade, each will be unique.
You will want to keep the amber from lotions, polishes, detergents and other residues that might coat the surface of the stones, creating a barrier from the healing succinic acid. Do not wear necklaces in the bath, pool or hot tubs. If the necklace needs to be washed, use warm water only, no soap.
